Rasof grew up just north of Chicago, in the suburb of Skokie, Illinois. One of four children, he has 3 brothers, all of whom he remains close with today. He attended Niles North High School in Skokie, from where he graduated in 1983. He then began his undergraduate education at DePaul University in Chicago, obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Wanting to further his expertise and education, Alan Rasof pursued the necessary means of becoming a Licensed Insurance Agent, as well as becoming Licensed in Property Casualty and Health/Life Insurance Consulting and Management. What Alan Rasof enjoys most about the position of management and agency is the opportunity to connect with and educate others. In his current position, he is able to utilize his strong networking and people skills to advise and consult with individuals who are looking for the guidance of a seasoned professional in furthering their personal business goals. He revels in the fact that each client presents a unique situation that needs some assistance, and that he can ultimately equip these individuals with the tools and services that will best benefit their specific needs. He is a strong believer and proponent of the working class, and greatly enjoys the opportunity to work with these individuals specifically. Bilingual, Mr. Rasof is able to service both English and Spanish-speaking clientele, thus making for a wider range of business opportunity, and more importantly, a larger platform to offer solutions for individuals.
Outside of his career, Alan Rasof has a number of passions and interests which he regularly engages in and pursues. An avid sports fan, he played football and wrestled growing up, and athletics have always been in his blood. As a Chicago resident, he proudly supports the professional teams of Chicago. Specifically, the Chicago Bulls, the Chicago Bears, and the White Sox (naturally).
Besides his love of sports, Alan Rasof is an ardent traveler, consistently looking to broaden his horizons and fully immerse himself in new cultures, to truly understand and empathize with the diverse manners of living that prevail across the globe. He has touched down in destinations across Asia and Europe, albeit both of these vast continents still hold a myriad of untold opportunity for Mr. Rasof, and he hopes to have the occasion to one day return and explore more of what he has not yet seen across both Asia and Europe. One of his favorite places he has visited is Mexico, both for its vibrant and enchanting culture and for the opportunity it presents for him to converse in Spanish with the locals. He delights in speaking Spanish, and what better place to flex his linguistic muscles but in a place where Spanish is their native language? He frequently travels with his daughter, Lauren, and his Grandson, Elijah.
Another passion of Alan Rasof is that of giving back, specifically the March of Dimes and the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer foundation. Having lost his own mother to breast cancer, Rasof is a frequent participant of fundraisers, events, and donations for the foundation.Along with his grandson Elijah who has Cerebral Palsy which Rasof is interested in furthering any cause that helps his grandson obtain the best quality of life possible and will constantly continue to do so throughout his personal and professional life.
